Yes, it is! This thought sounds new ,but it is a more than decade old practice across USA, London and Australia. Its catching up in India too.
Parents have been becoming increasingly aware of the need for a personal space for their child to help cater to their developmental and growth needs. Consequently, they have realized that just like others in the house, a child not just deserves but also needs their personalized room. The concept is more popular in metropolitan areas for obvious reasons.

Kids Interior designers are qualified designers who are driven by their love and passion for kids . They CHOOSE to specialize in kids spaces so as to be able to give back to them beautiful ,comfortable and appropriate spaces for their well being. The work is no lame mans job as it needs absolute attention to details and a lot of research to be able create kids friendly rooms. A room which is functionally, developmentally fit for them and supports their well being and since they are qualified interior designers or interior stylist, they already have great eye for aesthetics. What else can you ask for!
WHAT DROVE ME INTO KIDS INTERIOR SPACE DESIGNING? HOW I GET INTO KID-SPACE INTERIOR DESIGN?
I am an Architect and Interior designer by profession. It was just 3 years back that I decided to design my son’s rooms. It was then when I got sensitized on how minutest of things like colour, texture, furniture and well-designed space as per their size, age and requirement can aid and impact a child’s growth. I was amazed and the longing for knowing more and contributing to the space set in. I couldn’t stop myself at what I learnt, I read loads of kid’s literature available, met people who deal with kids and finally decided that I would want to share the knowledge with the world and give back what I had learnt. This led to foundation of Kidscape interiors. The joy and satisfaction that and I get when I see the kids enjoying, learning and being comfortable in their Room, Playroom, Nursery or other kids space. And every day it feels like journey has just begun…

Parents, caregivers who are aware of the role of a well-designed space or crave for getting a beautiful, organised, hassle free and innovative space for their kids, hires them.
